I mean I have severe back problems (see my comment history of you want) so I can't comment on his posture, but that whole legs apart power pose is pure cringe.

My bad back makes me so sad sometimes. It mostly isn't bad enough to change my day-to-day life, but I miss going backpacking.

That's shit. Mine's not that bad, they diagnosed scoliosis when I was 15 but besides some big pains before the diagnosis, I'm okay. I have no problem backpacking but I can't have a frontpack, weird shit.

Possibly the worst thing about it is that I injured myself in the most fucking dumb way possible. My back was probably strained already from my shitty job at the time, but the final straw was one morning I was blow drying my hair while bent over to give my stick-straight hair a little pathetic lift, when suddenly, I sneezed. Yes, I sneezed while bent over and I felt a shooting pain go all the way from my back down my left leg and I was unable to bend at the waist for about a week after, even with muscle relaxers. My back has never been the same. Is that not the dumbest injury story you've ever heard of?

It's sneezing season where I live and now I'm scared. Just like the "pull your thumb string" shit.

I always remember that meme that says "a human body can create a whole new body (bones, brain, heart, whatever) in nine months but I twisted an ankle twenty years ago and it's still shitty".

I looked up the book and it sounds really helpful. I'm buying it, thanks again for the recommendation. I haven't had the heart to sell my backpacking gear even though it's been years since my injury. Doing the exercises and and working towards possibly being able to go backpacking again some day is going to be a good quarantine project.

Yeah I get this. I have very severe scheuermann's kyphosis (over 100 degrees curvature) and I'm practically bedridden at the moment. I'm going for severe surgery soon and I hope it will help a lot. I still have some of my rock climbing and hiking gear in hopes that it does get better after surgery. This person, Kyra Condie, is practically my inspiration at the moment, I my recovery is a fraction as good as hers I'll cry tears of pure joy.

If anyone is interested in how the operation will look: SFL/SFW Version: https://youtu.be/RytFcnkphJs?t=1m30s NSFL/NSFW (waring do not click if sensitive to these things, warning now): https://youtu.be/SvTkFOBMmyM

Wow, I'd never heard of Kyra Condie--what an inspiring story! Here's hoping that you'll be able to get back to your old activities after your surgery!

I think he's just leaning a bit, you can see the wrinkles on one side of his jacket.

Lmao imagine putting on a suit for that

"honey I have to look good I'm gonna be in the background for like thirty seconds"
