I was scared by horror as a kid, but now I just find it kinda stupid. I laughed at heriditary because it was dumb, it wasn't a masterpiece. I honestly find the horror inside non-horror genres better. By this I mean I get way more freaked out by particularly scary stand users in JJBA, Chimera Ants from Hunter x Hunter, or the SA-X parasite from Metroid Fusion. Those are way scarier because I didn't see them coming and they break the rules of their world a little bit.
