It'd just come on and fucking your late teens/early twenties brain the hell out when you were peak stoned and not expecting it. Absolutely nailing a target audience in a way that maybe no one else has before.

Yeah, back then you could set your VCR to record, but nobody did. Except me. Sometimes people would get freaked by the VCR coming on by itself. And after a while, you had a whole tape full of episodes if you wanted to re-watch. I remember amazing people at one late night stoner party with my Beavis and Butthead tape. I was like, dude we've been able to do this since the 70s. 🤐
