Fr I may have a slightly weird looking body but not that bad yet no matter what I wear I look like a giant doofus. I guess it doesn't help that I pretty much exclusively get clothes from thrift stores but I am not about to drop $50 on a fuckin shirt.

I have to wear business casual for work and I think I look alright with it but I don't want to wear that when I'm just doing shit. It's stuffy and also I end up looking like some republican dork ass.

Any drippers in here that can advise me?

Tailoring is super underrated, and if you're thrifting than you'll probably get a bigger improvement from getting your clothes properly fitted than most people since the stuff you buy was probably tailored to the previous owner instead of being left at the "average" fit. If you have the free time you can learn to do it yourself, but it's not super expensive either.

    you're already thrifting :halal:

disregard gender, look for things that look cool to your eyeballs

lean into the weird shit you can find in a thrift store, old fashioned shit is great for standing out

I've always found looking good in clothes follows the 80/20 rule, like I don't do anything special or buy expensive stuff but getting clothes that fit (SUPER IMPORTANT, fit is imperative over everything) and colors that work together and then thinking about what I want to wear each day instead of just throwing on whatever's lying around consistently puts me as one of the best dressed people wherever I go in public. I'm not into high fashion or friends with any hypebeasts so this probably won't cut it if your social circle are a bunch of instamodels but for a random working class person I think I do pretty good for what amounts to a very modest effort.

Business casual ends up looking somewhere between a golfer and your first communion. It’s dumb af and there are no actual standards. The adage is that it’s better to be overdressed than under but I’d also check to see what your peers and boss(es) wear.

If you step out of the blue-white-black-grey color palette that most dweebs wear it will be good.

Get some nice shirts and get them tailored. If youve got a bunch of stuff a tailor can do em for like $3/shirt. Nice stuff imo is like ~$20. Try any thrift stores if you have them and just try stuff and see what works. Experimentation is really important if you want a unique style that still looks nice. Part of the reason why republiboys always look like that is cause they are following a formula instead of mixing and trying unqiue things.

I'm an advocate for nakedness because I look much better without clothes than with them

Have fun and express your style in a way that makes you feel comfortable. I love thrifting too and if you can, accessorize a little. In a work environment it gives people a talking point and makes ya stand out even if your fit is basic. A cool bag, bright coat, silver jewelry, hat with vintage local sports team. Take the comments well! Oh yeah I picked it up recently, do you like thrifting too?
