With Covid especially we have seen a lot of reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally dumb deaths but I stil think buying into car adverts so hard you think it makes you an invincible rally driver and then get beaten to death ranks up there

"Natasha this sounds like it could have been so much worse" lol even this CNN guy says beating to death someone for attempting vehicular murder is a good thing.

You wanted to kill some people, but ended up being killed yourself. Interesting:expert-shapiro:

"The man left but returned and drove his truck onto the sidewalk, nearly hitting multiple people, according to the release. He eventually lost control of his car and struck a tree.

Bystanders then tried to pull the man out of his truck but he was able to speed away before crashing into a building. The bystanders then pulled him out the car and a 'physical altercation ensued,' the release said.

'Hawthorne Police officers saw the driver lying on the ground, suffering what appeared to be blunt force trauma,' the LASD said. 'Paramedics provided life-saving measures, but he was pronounced deceased on scene.'"

Learn-2-drive right in hell, asshole. :hexcrab-party:

suffering what appeared to be blunt force trauma

they probably didn't even hurt him, the dumb ass got in 2 car crashes in a row, they just want to pin it on the protesters and make this attempted murderer a victim

Even these CNN people kept it vague and explicitly said that his death could have been caused simply by the two car crashes he got in. It's definitely weird, but I actually feel like the media's not actually trying to spin this as the truck guy being the victim this time.

if that were the case the headline probably would have mentioned him attacking pedestrians first instead of him being attacked first, the headline at least is sympathetic in its framing considering the inciting incident was him trying to kill people by running them over

      free speech absolutist

Remember that guy who started harassing Muslims on a train in Portland, and when a couple of people tried to get him to knock it off, he stabbed them to death? And then claimed that he was just defending his free speech?

Yeah. Shit was fucked up. I was planning on moving to the area at the time and it made me realize how little I knew about the area.

That guy was just looking for an excuse to kill people. I don't get being in that fucked up state of mind
