When I told my grandmother that I don't eat meat, she was still shocked to find out I don't eat chicken. For whatever reason chicken ≠ meat to some people
fwiw chicken meat is quite different from pig or cow meat nutritionally. so maybe some people do it as a diet, and call it vegetarianism because of language confusion? i'm pretty sure in some languages vegetarian is the same as vegan for example
When i lived in Morocco, when my friends would tell people they didn't eat meat, they would still get a plateful of chicken and fish.
for some, it's literally just a classification thing. I feel like in some cases, it makes more sense to say 'I don't eat animals' rather than 'I don't eat meat'.

You know, used to be big herds of wild horses all over the place until the bougie fucks stole them all and put them on their shitty 150 acre "farms" so they can just sit in a barn and run obstacle courses until their owner gets bored with them.
We don't need horses to get around fast, I'm pretty sure they don't wanna carry us around. Once an engine could be used to move stuff we should have set all the horses free with a great compensation package of whatever horses like. We used them as tanks for a while.

there was a fad diet for a while that was based on the size of eyes mostly, big sad eyes were off the menu, but small beady eyes were just fine - very similar to this
