Personally, I don't think so. They're obviously far to the left of their party, and anything that can help radicalise people is good. Dem Socs have their place in the left, and they have value as a way to ease people in.
Would it make sense to donate $ though? I haven't donated since Bernie dropped out and I mainly lost interest in electoralism. But I do think they're vital voices of the American regime that need to stay.
I think they will find enough money anyways, enough libs and socdems out there.
I bet you’ll find better, lesser funded projects that probably would need your support way more than someone sitting in the chambers of power already.
