I'm sure that the patron saint of drone strikes is really broken up over having supported a bad thing.
Why are we dunking on Briahna Joy Gray she has occasional lib takes but she's one of the best checkmark posters on the bird site by far.
I think a critical difference between the online right and the online left is that when the right finds a big name that is "on their side", they flock around them and support them, eventually leading them further down their pipeline and radicalizing them. It's positive reinforcement basically, our monkey brains love that. These personalities find a new audience and whenever they say more right-wing shit, they get cheers, so they keep going deeper and deeper.
Meanwhile the left does the opposite. No surprise the big content creators and streamers all become libs, appealing to leftists is just not worth the massive headache it entails because as soon as you say anything out of line, a significant portion of your followers is just done with you.
Basically I think dunking on people like BrieJoy is counterproductive. Audiences influence personalities just as much as vice versa. For all intents and purposes she is on our side, if we want to get anywhere we need to support people like her and radicalize them through positive reinforcement rather than alienating her.

I'll be dead in the cold ground before I defend a Harvard graduate.
Idk man, I'll defend Conan O'Brien if it's a conversation about Late Night Hosts.
he's the only real funny one. Seth meyers is the only other watcheable one.
Are you suggesting that leftists personalities turn into conservatives because of Twitter mentions?
I'm suggesting that personalities who might be on the path to become leftists get alienated in part by twitter mentions
I don't think she's gonna see these dunks on hexbear dot net
I don't really see feedback in there. I mostly see right wingers trying to get an own on her by mentioning Virgil.
Doing quantum physics to figure out how I can segue into force the vote from this tweet
Chapelle said some really transphobic shit.
It was also incredibly racist, but that was against asians, so I'm pretty sure the libs don't really care.
Ah so this tweet is serious, and not a flippant response to some additional lib grumbling about it? :cringe:
She's just pointing out the absurdity chappelle discourse because from the highest levels the liberal establishment is also in bed with netflix. ie if any of them actually cared they could pull out, but they are making the exact same calculus the netlix execs are.
Ahhh okay that makes sense, I hadn't seen any of the discourse. This is actually a good take then
I assumed it was reference to some lib-manufactured drama about a campaign donation that Bernie got back in 2020 that literally no one but bluechecks remember and/or care about
I mean, there was the time liberals melted down over Bernie going on Joe Rogan.
If she's not being lib-brained then she is dragging libs. Whether she's in on the dunk or not, it's a good dunk either way.
