The headmaster of the school, however, has put the blame on the school's close vicinity to China
:some-controversy:
Rei chugging pills from two bottles at once, goddamn. I have to respect the commitment.
Everyone in NGE wouldn't be so fucked up if they did drugs
Considering the comas and massively traumatizing injuries throughout most of the cast is probably gilled with opiates
It's a squad of child soldiers whose lifes are treated as entirely expandable, i'm fairly certain all of them are full of whatever substances are required to keep them halfway functional. If Anno would state that Rei is on flunitrazepam all the time, that Shinji regularly gets ketamine injections so that he doesn't kill himself, that Asuka's breakfast consists of 80mg of amphetamine and that nobody at NERV bats an eye to Mari self-medicating with weed, coke and Southern Comfort, i wouldn't be surprised at all. It would fit with their behavior and it's not far-fetched that you can't stand life sober when you're constantly forced to get in a giant robot, risk your life and harm your friends in a possibly futile attempt to prevent giant monsters from turning all life on earth into red goop.
I’m sure it has nothing to do with the environment these kids live in, worrying about b.s. math they’ll never need to use, and memorizing whitewashed history as the earth burns and nobody does anything. Knowing that once they graduate, all of this work will have been for nothing and even a college degree usually won’t get you anything in life.
Why do kids use drugs? I guess they’re just individually bad people.
I don't recognize any of these characters, but that girl who looks like she has had the best idea in the world while injecting herself with a syringe the size of her forearm of what I assume is heroin and then reacting only with mild disappointment and crossing her arms has a mind of solid steel.
CHYNA on left on the botton left corner what could it be 🤔 🤔
