I think what happened with biker gangs was that motorbikes were cheap so young men bought them, they then hung around other young men with motorbikes and decided together they were pretty tough, from there they started buying drugs and selling them.
I don't think there was ever that much more to them than that
the normal origin story told is they were ww2 vets dealing with ptsd who didn't feel comfortable re-entering society so they lived rough riding cheap bikes and being hooligans with their bros and breaking norms
Nah that's pretty much ny experience in the US too. You kinda just run into the same guys over and over around town. Hoon around a bit together, help em when they break down, next thing you know you're at a rally.
I mean, you can't really compare actual 1% clubs like the Hells Angels and Bandidos who are basically international criminal orgs with the larping boat dealers that make up Bikers For Trump. Literally the only thing they have in common is that they sometimes ride bikes.
Oh, I'm a dbeat crust warrior who dresses like a Mad Max character. At this point most of it is decades removed from actual biker fashion as well, but it did come from there. Hell even Elvis was using what at the time was biker aesthetic.
But then I would miss out on experiencing the depth of collective psychosis that certain forms of dissent can evoke in here. I am grateful for the experience.
Then I will ask you to cease posting about this topic. This is because you express disinterest in any entanglement with empirical work, and a rejection of logic itself.
Bikers, the answer is bikers. It's even in Hunter Thompson's book that even in the early 60s gay subculture had a degree of attachement to bikers. A lot were secretly getting sucked off by dudes at truckstops and a lot of dudes were secretly going to truck stops to suck off bikers.
It's a great read aside from one particular part involving a really detailed account of a particularly gross gangbang that was most likely not very consentual. That is a very very very hard to read part. It's quite informative otherwise.

This is the origin story in my country it might be different elsewhere

Narrator: it was not always as far as went
I mean, you can't really compare actual 1% clubs like the Hells Angels and Bandidos who are basically international criminal orgs with the larping boat dealers that make up Bikers For Trump. Literally the only thing they have in common is that they sometimes ride bikes.
Oh when we said bikers I thought we meant old school biker gangs
Clubs (or gangs if you prefer) like HA and the Bandidos are the old school ones, they were formed in like the 50's/60's.

I mean, "MC's" are what they're called.
Have not read that, but I have read Sonny Barger's autobiography. Don't remember the title, but it's somewhere in my bookshelf.
They were never comrades, but they weren't always reactionary. Also, you can definitely be right wing and anti establishment.
The Hunter S Thompson book about the Hells Angels is great, btw.
All of rock and metal appropriated biker aesthetic.

Low upkeep, looks cool as hell. It's stood the test of time for almost a century now.
extremely false and obvious misconception by this type insular american babyleft subculture. lol
:wut:
more effectively used emote when you are actually correct
The fuck are you talking about? Use real sentences.

wait you're fucking crust and you still pull this shit? just why
What am I pulling? I genuinely have no idea what you're talking about
the emote you posted is utilized with a greater effect when you are in the right

Okay, what am I supposedly wrong about?
Also what is the link between crust and using emojis correctly?
Where's the lie?
The lie is within the quote that I posted above.
Explain why its not true. Do I really need to keep pulling teeth like this?
I will answer your question with a scenario, if you do not mind.
Scenario 001:
I (me) present to you (you) an aesthethic history of rock music. This is used by me (me) as a source to support my argument.
But you haven't actually done that though. All you did was say "no lol".
so youre the bystander looking in thinking oh yeah its totes reasonable that this guy should prove that all rock and metal jacked biker culture?
I'm not expecting either one of you to conclusively prove anything at all.
It would just be interesting to see you make an actual argument beyond "no you are wrong".
dungeons and dragons is an influence that has no prior connection to biker culture
See, how hard was that? You could have done this like 20 comments ago.
But then I would miss out on experiencing the depth of collective psychosis that certain forms of dissent can evoke in here. I am grateful for the experience.
Oh boy.
I'm not a person who usually says "touch grass", but please touch grass
Dude is arch
things would probably've turned out differently if i just made a meme comment like "> rock is when white people in leather steals the blues"
Or if you'd ever made any argument that went beyond "I'm right you're wrong"
people be saying this and then turn around and lecture plebs on how its actually qanons responsibility to prove their claims not ours to debunk them
If you're not going to make an actual argument, don't be surprised when people act like you didn't make an actual argument
dont misinterpret me as having expectations here

You're weird
youre wrong, snarkily so, proud of it, and intentionally insolating it
mate i dont really understand why you're coming in so hot over an obviously hyperbolic statement lol. You hold biker culture near and dear or...?
Care to elaborate?
They have made it very apparent that they really don't care to
Yeah, that was all very weird
It still is
wtf is even happening
I'm wrong, snarkily so.
Mmm, so I've heard lmao
sure. OP is wrong
Are you a Son of Anarchy of something?
Lmaooooo
Banned: Galaxy rain
Reason: sectarianism
:oh-shit:
i think that falls more in the hardcore punk tradition.
Okay, next question, do you suffer from aphasia?
no
Okay, then why do you make no goddamn sense at all?
proceeding from false premises
:expert-shapiro:
Ok then Ill say instad that I actually make perfect sense
On a scale of one to massive coronary; exactly how coked up are you right now, comrade chavez?
How is OP wrong?
OP is wrong because the claim is completely indefensible in any respect
Pretend that I have no clue about either biker or metal culture. I'm a newborn baby, I know nothing, but I'm eager to learn.
Now make an actual attempt at explaining to me why OP's claim is "completely indefensible in any respect".
im baby
GB ain't from burgerland
I'm genuinely confused by what they're trying to say

And where do you think the leather daddy aesthetic came from? Halford was never seen on a motorcycle

Yeah, it's a raw account of shitty dudes. They're basically oogles with bikes instead of train hopping during the 60s where shit was really cheap.
