In Greenland you will either eat insanely expensive food imported from Denmark (USD 6,22 fora broccoli expensive) or local seafood and wildlife. And with all the crap that is being dumped in the sea I'm afraid a lot of it ends up in fish and shellfish.
Dunno, maybe during the time of the Soviet Union, but I don't think there's enough profits to motivate the Russian capitalists to do anything beyond resource extraction
Yeah, I was mostly thinking of resource extraction. As things heat up, I'm sure we'll see mining for profit being done further and further north. :doomer:
I mean the cold doesn't really stop them if there's enough money to be made anyways but I think the trouble lies in how much infrastructure work needs to be done just to get the money-ball rolling.
Local whole ingredients from organic-ish / permaculture / standard crop rotation farms. Wash everything well at home anyways.
It's annoying that good, safe, healthy food coincides with PMC lib shit, alas.
On the plus side you will save money by not ordering in and by having better health, so it's not a complete loss on the poverty front. Making beans with an instant pot saves a lot of money over buying canned, for example.

Actually sounds like a great idea, I think Greenland should be pretty nice and clean.

Uh... I hear the siberian wastes are fairly undeveloped
For now, but I'm pretty sure there's some plans to develop them as they heat up, aren't there?

that's because it is. consumer choices do nothing.
Eating good and safe food has intrinsic value and takes care of your health.
you will eat the cancer slop just like the rest of us
