It was pretty cool. Preferred the first half over the second, definitely. It had such a fun portrayal of Asian-American life. The action was obviously great. The acting was incredible. I fell in love with like six different characters so that was cool. Loved the homages to classic asian cinema (and subversion of tropes). Overall, certainly the most fun I’ve had with a marvel movie (same as Spider-Man). Some flaws but overall time well spent.
It's pretty good slop. The fight scenes and martial artistry were definitely the highlight for me. Lot's of Jackie Chan references too, and I probably didn't even catch them all.
But holy shit, how many car brands can you shove into the face of an audience before it becomes just a car commercial with a marvel skin - there is soo much highly prominent product placement, especially in the San Francisco setting, it's insane. Is this normal now?
