At least in they're marginally better. It's normal to live with parents for much longer AND housing isn't (too much) of a luxury there so it's reasonable. Here in the US it's a big contradiction. You're expected to move out at 18 but rent costs 2k everywhere. So really only trust fund kids can pull this off.
