Dude, they called the civil war the "war of northern aggression" in the 90s in my rural southern school which is of course such bullshit. Btw reconstruction under Lincoln would have been totally different as he was changed by the war and his distrust of the southern aristocracy would have never reinstituted their franchise, imo.
