This channels prob been posted on here a lot but here ya go.
It's probably a more popular sport in Cuba than America.
In America Baseball is for math nerds and old people.
MLB doesn't even make it easy to watch streams so that you can become a fan and buy merchandise and live tickets
"no, pay us huge amounts of money so you can watch a game fucking loaded with ads"
as usual the piracy way to watch MLB is a million times better than any paid option.
Was gonna say, it's massively popular in Central America and parts of South America and the Pacific. Look at almost any MLB roster and there will be at least a couple people from those parts of the world
Baseball is only fun of you're at the stadium getting drunk or playing with friends.
Which is why every Cuban town has a municipal stadium and tons of booze nearby lol.
The fun is the booze and people, the baseball is just a setting
Most sports are more fun when you know the players and are familiar with the game.
I got into football in high school when one of my friends dragged me down the fantasy football rabbit hole. Learning the various players and the different plays and different play strategies made each play more engaging.
Similarly, learning about pitching and then trying to guess the next pitch made baseball much more exciting. Like, its very hard to enjoy baseball if you don't know anything about pitching.

I remember another story about this same Cuban cancer vaccine, and it actually did have video of the family and their experience that was really compelling. Way more than some weener gawking at buttball.
Well yeah, but did they charge you like a bajillion dollars for food? Its not the same.
"Cuban goes to American hospital for the first time!"
Fuck I did my Senior Project on sending baseball equipment to the Caribbean. Stupid as shit as it was to client states and not universal.
Somehow I find this story more compelling than one about a guy soy-facing at baseball shit:

Like, half the Astros are Cuban and the other half are Venezuelan.
