If it hurts slow down, use more lube, and check that you're relaxed and comfortable.

I've never had prostate issues after eating chili.

It is actually about spicy food. Spicy food tolerance can be built up but then lost again, and I only have infrequent access to habaneros when they go in the markdown bin or otherwise on sale. It leads to a weird situation where I'll shit, my ass starts burning, it's fucking miserable, but then I remember the meal that caused it and then I just get a massive craving for it again, and it keeps going on until I build my tolerance back up, run out of habaneros and then promptly lose the tolerance again for next time.

My mouth can handle heat just fine. But it writes checks my ass can't cash. And no amount of it seems to increase the backdoor tolerance.

It's gotta be regular, like every day sort of thing before my asshole gets with the program.

I guess there's also a lot more you can do to deal with eating spicy food than you can with shitting out spicy food. You can slow down, you can get a drink (milk's the gold standard but apparently peanut butter and lemon juice work as vegan options), you can even try to dillute the spice with, say, soy sauce or eating a side dish so the heat doesn't build up too quickly. But when you shit, you're going at your ass's pace and you're not going to start smearing food items on your anus. You are at your ass's complete mercy and you just gotta cope.

Habaneros in a plastic bag will freeze for a year.
