"PMC are working class" lol ok Hexbear, just try and do some science at your local university! I bet these class traitors won't even let you in the library unless you own some property or are a business person (well maybe you can get in because Hexbear is a PMC website, these redditors have those privileges and powers which normal workers do not)

medieval Euro-Christians: (a proto-fascist conglomeration of monarchy/feudalism and their religious counterparts)

Modern liberals: (the same thing but it's ruled by bourgeoisie instead of kings, and the religious dogmas come from Malthusian eugenics like "being fat is evil because it takes up our precious resources", "giving food to the third world is bad because they become dependent on aid, please ignore our glowie role in the ongoing genocides of these famine stricken countries. Our understanding of economics might be literally 200 years old, but we're actually woke progressives who want to uplift humanity!!! Trust our religious dogma, or else be excommunicated from our grifting"

"The PMC radlibs won't let me make sweet explosio- I mean DO SOME SCIENCE in their bourgeois laboratories. This proves that they are class traitors and anyone who disagrees with me is a radlib."

Jokes aside I think the worst thing about BMF posts is that I usually vaguely agree with them. In this case, I do genuinely think that contemporary universities serve as a similar block as Aristotelian thinking did pre-enlightenment. Pretty much all of the social sciences are hemmed in by the unwritten rule of "NO MARXISM ALLOWED," and the 'hard' sciences are handcuffed by research grants for military application or what's profitable. Then, about half the university is now committed to graduating genuine PMC administrative type jobs which are largely Bullshit (see Graeber) and serve no productive purpose whatsoever. The more prestigious the university, the higher paying the bullshit job - but the job is still absolutely bullshit.

It's an absolutely fucked system dedicated to preserving class relations by indebting the poor, cranking out just enough slop to keep profits high next quarter, and manufacturing bullshit to keep people busy so they don't have time or energy to think about their lives

I wonder if BMF is a psyop to test what kind of reaction fringe communities will have to targeted word salad. That we can make sense of this is perhaps a concerning sign.

What is BMF? Apparently there's a level of online that's more online than "terminally online", which is what I thought I was.

              You've missed some true bangers.

Search the modlog for that user account, and then sort by top. Just take it all in for a while. There are worse ways to waste time on a Saturday.

I am lucky most of the prof I had at least use dialectics in their analyses. Though I also got a text recently which framed the conflict between Vietnam and the Khmer rouge as a war between two revolutionary marxist goverments.

Community college gang. Worst thing there is a higher than average number of chud history professors. No military contract research happening there

History is mostly considered a part of the humanities, the one sphere that Marxism is actually allowed, only then to be quarantined there. Other departments flagrantly disregard any Marxist academics in the humanities so it doesn't have any material impact on the greater academic (and subsequently material) world, at least not through that channel of power. Graeber actually has a few notable quotes panning the discipline of economics for this. He basically dunks on them for being willfully ignorant of the actual historical record of human development as charted by historians and anthropologists.

And while community colleges aren't engaged in research, they are engaged in preparation for bullshit jobs still. I look forward to the day education is for human flourishing and societal enrichment, not reproduction of capitalism and class war.
