I'd say Minneapolis right now, but surely there are worse
:pigmask-off:
Chicago, LA, NYPD are all notorious but a huge honorable mention has to go out to fucking Aurora, Colorado.
I hear so much fucked shit about that place all the time I genuinely don't understand what's in the water over there. There were the cops who killed Elijah McClain, then the riot cops who broke up the vigil for Elijah McClain, then there was the cop who enthusiastically broke the arm of that mentally disabled lady for shoplifting ("Ready for the pop? Haha, here we go!"), then the video of the cop bouncing on the balls of his feet, very excited to shoot people during the George Floyd protests (he was later caught on video pushing through his fellow piggies who were trying to hold him back so he could fire off a rubber bullet at someone who called him out). I feel like they make news on the national level once every two months and its either some cop shit or a mass shooting. Cursed city.Don't forget that like 5 cops have crashed their squad cars while drunk and faced zero consequences.
I remember reading something about how Aurora PD has less oversight than Denver PD but I forget why. It's also one of the poorest and most ethnically diverse suburbs, and developers are trying to gentrify parts of it.

Aurora hogs are especially feral. Loveland are a close second, the ones who broke that dementia patient's arm, but I hate that Aurora has all the good ethnic restaurants because I'm always risking an interaction with a completely unhinged police force.
Chicago's are pretty fucking bad. Look up the history of the CPD union head and the emails he's sent to our local BLM chapter heads. He's also throwing a hissy fit about cops having mandatory vaccines (lol get fucked)
Don't forget the Chicago PD operated an off-the-books torture facility.
Yeah, I didn't dwell on that post for too long so my brain didn't even start getting into concrete real world actions or shit like that, just that one guy's shitty attitude and views. Not to mention that lots of CPD people are involved in sex worker trafficking (I know cause uh....let's just say unfortunate first hand experience).
operated
I got bad news
I can't find anything more recent, but I also can't find anything saying it is closed, which is more damning to me tbh.
Also the Chicago police tortured at least 100 people and Rahm Emmanuel helped them cover up the murder of a black teenager.
In Portland, the cops sometimes won't even show up to "low priority" calls like "a man his holding a child hostage at knife-point."
Don't know what their closure rates are, but they can't be good.
Honestly, I try not to pay attention to them after some things they've put me through. I don't know. :do-not-do-this:
COVID is the #1 cop killer, i fucking hope they never get vaccinated.
It was probably like 30 years ago, don't know if they still do it, but the local cops in my tiny ass hometown used to induct new recruits by making them drown stray cats in the river. I know in the grand scheme of things that probably isn't as evil as some of the shit big city cops pull, but it goes to show how psychopathic they all are.
i personally knew two LA county sheriffs - one sexually assaulted his niece for years in secrecy before she told the rest of the family. the other was a run of the mill domestic abuser who once got into a shootout on the freeway as a civilian with his family in the car. luckily, one is :officer-down: and the other is :gulaged:
Absolutely wild story. It’s definitely one of those phenomenons that has to exist outside of LA, though it’s mostly only been a few LA reporters researching it.
Chicago and LA are both known to be pretty bad; Minneapolis and Portland are contenders.
St Louis has to be in the running. Most police killings per capita of any city, and it’s not even close. There’s a reason BLM started here, Ferguson was not that long ago

NYPD is armed like an army so I would say they rank pretty highly
Literally all the cops in my podunk backwoods hometown are also in the klan
What about Joe Arpaio's sheriff department that ran a tent city concentration camp?

columbus, ohio is one of the worst cities for police violence when looking at per capita numbers.
LAPD and LASD are usually going to win this one in terms of sheer number of human rights abuses, but I'm sure there are some shitty small sundown towns that have a per-pig violations rate in the stratosphere.
Though it's hard to overstate how hated the MPD is by the people who live in Minneapolis. Minnesota is a racist hell hole. Extremely segregated, terrible outcomes for minority kids, just a shit show all around, ruled over by a viciously racist police force. In good news, though, early retirements have abolished 1/3 of the cops and they've been struggling to find new recruits for years. And the police chief just peaced out, leaving a complete organizational shitshow to whatever asshole picks up the reins.
surprisingly most of what i hear about houston PD is that they're just really lazy and don't do anything. which i guess is better than doing cop shit (if it were true, which it probably isn't )
This might have been a rumor and I never looked into it, but I was told paramedics in Houston have to carry handcuff keys because of the number of half-dead black people they were pulling out of the bayou, all wearing handcuffs from the PD.
I just contacted someone who knows more about this and was given a link to this article.
Apparently there's a well known spot referred to as "The Hole" behind a warehouse where the pigs beat people and then toss them in the bayou. I was told this was more common in the 1970s and the HPD has changed tactics since then. Trying to find more info.
An all-white jury sentenced the officers to one year's probation and a one dollar fine.
fuck this country
He's dramatically better than the last Sheriff. That is not an endorsement, mind you.
