Ehh, whatever. A courtroom drama can kick a little ass and it's a pretty good environment for performance and tension and stuff. It's a pretty attractive writing concept. That being said I've never watched any lawyer shit that takes place IRL. Court proceedings episodes of Star Trek are always rad and there's a LOT. Also without that genre we'd never had The Cereal Defense or Charlie's displayed width of Bird Law Wisdoms. Matlock was fucking hilarious too.
