Canada's Green Party is holding an election to select a leader. You have until September 2nd to vote in the Green leadership race to elect committed green socialists.

Membership is free for youth (14-29) and only $2.50 (after tax rebate) for 29+

Elizabeth May is basically an anti pipeline conservative and we know that we need to force the NDP to actually put up a fight to the neolib austerity and climate catastrophe that is coming. There are committed socialists who are not afraid to be vocal about their views on topics from pipelines to Palestine. Please check the link out.

I don't know anything about her but as an unelected political consultant I can give her the valuable advice of finding literally any way to pretend to be adjacent to an US/CIA pop culture interest (meme) with any policy position and then feed it into social media and NEVER LISTEN TO ANYTHING ELSE I SAY AFTER THAT. Listening to consultants a second time is what terms them into PodSaveAmerica.

Already registered, and spreading the word to other people around me. Hopefully this works, but I'm suspicious that the vote being online means they'll be able to just rig it. Hell, we just saw the Cons have issues with their election with all the shredded ballots, and that was physical votes.

For those not aware, Dimitri Lascaris and Meryam Haddad are both openly socialist candidates, and Amita Kuttner seems like they might be good as well, but don't use that sort of label.

Also check out this questionnaire from a leftist organization that several green candidates, including those 3, answered.

"Capitalists are a threat to the working class and the planet. Help us elect the Canadian Greens"

Fixed the title for ya. This is healthier, more honest and more likely to convince people. Capitalism is the problem and there's no such thing as "green capitalism". Capitalism is economic pollution even without the environmental effects.

I emphasized green capitalism because it's being floated as a kinder, gentler face of capitalism. The idea here is to reject capital, period. Even if it's green because we know it's not really green. I see what you're saying but I think this approach is fine.

And "green capitalism" is the fake worldview being put forth by fake candidates like Joe Kennedy. Joe Kennedy's top donor is Mitt Romney (Bain Capital).

Your "green capitalists" and "Green dems" are rightwing republicans and because you're using identity politics instead of human names, you accidentally did a liberalism. Do not accept academia's premise that it must have value and you must use what it taught you. Everything we learned in college was on behalf of the capitalist donors of the school we went to.

Before academia we knew that only people were responsible for the actions of people. After academia we have people like you trying to solve a crisis by blaming a color. Academia and citizens united are two edges of the same sword: Corporate Personhood. corporations aren't real, only people are.

politics happens on www.opensecrets.org not cspan.
