The whole plot starts with the assumption that the pro-cop MCU wouldn't fall over themselves for a white vigilante kid.

Then the reason he wants to use Dr Strange to fix things is because his friends can't get into college. Mind you he has money and resources and the good will of the superhero team.

Then instead of figuring things out ahead of time about how the spell would work, Peter keeps amending the spell until it breaks the multiverse. Then Dr Strange asks him the above issue about using other options that didn't include brain washing.

Oh my god this movie is so dumb. Will update. Spoilers if you care

Edit because some people are salty:

I like the movie and just decided to write down the thoughts since I don't usually get to in a theater setting with a movie I'm interested in.

I'm home sick and figured doing a play by play with my thoughts would be a fun exercise for me. If this makes you think I don't want people to enjoy things, then you've got the wrong idea. Enjoy your slop!

It's just that amateur media criticism is my slop.

Oh god now he's saying that he can't go fight the other multiverse bad guys because they might take back his friends' college admissions. JFC

A recurring line Zendaya says throughout the movie is basically 'expect bad things and you'll never be disappointed.' and I can't agree with that more.

capeshit - noun (slang, vulgar, derogatory) - Tiresome, derivative films about the exploits of superheroes.

The other Peters haven't shown up yet. The explanation for the multiverse fuck up is that the spell affected everyone who knew who Spider-Man was, even across other universes, so the bad guys who found out the identity are the ones who got pulled in.

But it's only like five bad guys and nobody else and no other universes. A poor man's Into the Spiderverse.

A poor man’s Into the Spiderverse.

This is what kills me about this movie. From the very first trailer it has been so obviously trying to be a live action Spiderverse, Marvel can't even go a couple years before they cannibalize their own films for ideas.

Technically Sony made into the spider verse, not marvel

Right, but I think the script for Spidey 3 got worked to include multiverse shit specifically because of how much people like Spiderverse

Well duh spider verse was a test run thy Sony did after consultations with marvel. It’s why the prowler showed up in the first mic Spider-Man movie. I’m pretty sure the third spider verse movie is going to be live action

I was commenting in time with the movie and for a part of the runtime, I had that opinion. And then Dafoe went full ham.

I really liked it (I just fucking love Spider-Man ngl), but holy shit the level of cringe when Norman said “I’m something of a scientist myself” 🙄

Spidey is now living alone in some random apartment, starting his life over without knowing anybody.

    But he's gonna swing baby!

Did the other Peters ever make an appearance? These spoliers are sounding dumb as fuck. What's the runtime?

Oh boy. All three live action Peter Parkers are in the film and it's about as poorly written and directed as you can possibly imagine.

Spiderman(Tom Holland) was responsible for Aunt May's death. If he hadn't ask Strange and interrupted him multiple times, she would be alive. Anyways, these capeshit movies show that the characters are full of privileges.
