The backlash was getting so intense that police dog pictures have comments disabled by default now, and plenty of bot upvotes to manufacture consent.
yeah then it got collectively memory holed like every other disgusting thing the state has committed
UPS tweet afterward: Thank you officers for killing an employee, else the bandit could have harmed the letters and packaged that got shredded after the 70 bullets.
But they said it unironically

literally using a family with kids as a meatshield, v cool and normal country
In bad country the state security can kill innocent civilians with impunity in order to carry out their twisted brand of justice
people need to just start shootin at cops to keep them honest. Not us, but like real actual people.
The number of people who just go out and blast their friends at school or random people in public (probably 100% right wingers) vs the absolute almost nobody who goes out and blasts cops/landlords/CEOs, really confuses me.
And they also love to gaslight about the left being violent. There's no left-wing violence in this country. The right has a monopoly on it.
i could never this is one of my go to cases when I go on my "the police are evil" rants
And the icing on the shit cake? The cops lit up the place over a handful of fucking jewelry. Shit that was absolutely insured by the jewelry store and they would have been financially fine had the cops just left the dude alone.
No, its been two. Idk what that 3 yrs - 15 days is about. Im guessing he means jan 2022- dec 2019 = 3 but thats not how time works lol
You're right, it was 2 years and 15 days ago. That makes me feel less old.
Yes, I couldn't let something that made me feel so old slide.
Even then, those two years have just melted away. Thank you covid and our incompetent govts for that I guess.
Oh shit I forgot. That's how bad it is in this country, that you end up forgetting shit like this for a new horrific thing that's popped up. Amazing too how nothing happened to these cops, they were never investigated or fired, the media didn't care, people didn't care (outside of the left), and that was it.
I'll never forget this :reddit-logo: video of the chase. How do Americans deny the existence of the police state when they see this?

And yet SoFlo is still full of crime.
2 black guys rob a jewelry store
74 police cars and 5 helicopters deployed
Hmm this is really good knowledge to have if someone wanted to ever do something bigger :thinking-about-it:
God and then UPS thanked the cops right? I feel genuinely conflicted on this shit because UPS’s unions is actually pretty amazing (they will do solidarity strikes with teachers or even negotiate for teachers in states they don’t have unions in) and if we do start a general strike we will need their backing due to both their pull, loyalty, and huge amount of back up cash.
But their response to the UPS tweet was awful
