Perhaps this is an unpopular opinion, but as an artist myself, I don't think anyone does their best work whilst drunk. Doesn't it make more sense to learn how to do it sober? As for recreationally, knock yourself out
Yeah if getting drunk is helping you, it might be really a confidence thing holding you back.
EDIT: Now that I'm drunk, I have the confidence to say I know this from experience.
Hot toddy: hot water, honey, lemon juice, whiskey or brandy (i use brandy). Delicious, hides the alcohol flavor well, doesn’t taste weird when it cools off
If you're actually doing work, maybe you want to try whiskey and coffee? Use a thermos and it should keep warm enough for hours, and the caffeine might help.
I feel like the obvious choice is red wine because it’s meant to be drank at room temp and isn’t such a high alcohol content that you’ll black out before you get done what you meant to get done. If you’re looking for something cheap I’d recommend the Alamos Malbec. It’s a gas station wine that you can get for like eight bucks that imo tastes better than a lot of $20 bottles of wine. Pairs really well with tobacco if you like a smoke break too
You can definitely fall into a hole from going through an entire bottle in one sitting, and you're 120% guaranteed to projectile vomit a big red A on the carpet, turning it into an anarchist flag.
What you're looking for is soju. Easy to mix with things, easy to drink on its own, minimal aftertaste, strong but not like drinking straight hard booze, great at any temperature, comes in a variety of flavours and price points
edit: be careful, it goes down fast and smacks hard
Kalimotxo - red wine and Coca Cola in equal parts. Ice or don't, whatever you prefer. It sounds insane but is pretty tasty.
Brilliant way of getting both the caffeine and the alcohol at the same time, instead of sipping coffee and wine intermittently.
Yeah it's pretty good. I like making mine with Sangria and coke
If you water (literally) down Everclear enough you basically end up with a 'no flavor' "vodka" shot, plus you are effectively doubling to tripling your volume from the bottle -- pretty cost effective. We did this in college a bunch.
I would still keep a bottle or can of something nearby as a chaser though; my favorite is a thick mango drink but it could be whatever
Wrong answers only: Laphroaig.
Serious answer: how about a cheap Merlot? Two-buck Chuck or a nicer box (Black Box, Bota Box, or similar) should do.
Don't know what you're talking about, Laphroaig goes down real smooth.
Do you mind mixing? If you can, Everclear mixed with orange soda.
I love sake but have a hard time finding anything quality at a reasonable price. You're gonna want to drink it cold, hot sake gets you fucked up fast.
in terms of vodka, standard doesn’t have that bad aftertaste, though it obviously still kicks, especially diluted it should pass with no problem
