I feel like it's been so normalized that "only" a few hundred deaths a day seems like basically nothing (and the fact that that most obvious crisis is receding a bit is just more cover for no additional stimulus/unemployment assistance, etc)
Plus everyone's so goldfish brained that as soon as it's declared "over" my mom will start asking why I'm not immediately back in the labor force (I'm kidding, she was already asking that as cases were skyrocketing)
I know what you mean. I’m on my last few weeks of unemployment and my dad has been dropping hints that I’ll need to move out if I don’t get back to work. I have a few grand saved up from UIA money and I’m also working through debilitating depression from my mom dying, and I’m just not ready to go out and find a job right now.
Fuck family unity eh? It's one thing I like about my in-laws, they will allow any of their kids to live with them forever, if needed. Granted, as a parent, I know you want to encourage your kids to go out and be successful or whatnot but I don't know if kicking them out is the right way.
Anyone not rooting for the end of America is a lib. If that's what it takes so fucking be it.
"bro the firefighters got the sprinklers mostly working idk why you're acting like a pussy about walking back into that burning building"
I work in a nursing home, and we just today got covid on our unit. Now I have to wear all the PPE crap and its hot as hell. So nah man, not rooting for covid
I know a surgical nurse who has to wear a mask all day anyways and doubly so for cases regarding the respiratory systems. They're tired of hearing about people not wanting to wear a mask while at the same time being called a hero (this isn't directed at you specifically or anything).
I don't see it mentioned that the overwhelming majority of cases (in my city at least) are among the working class, while the rich have a pretty comfortable quarantining. I see what you mean, but no
I haven’t been able to fuck my fiancé in over 100 days because of covid so I’m gonna say no, definitely not
I take every precaution and live my life as close as to normal as possible, I dont give it any mind after that.
Ita gonna run its course, there is billions in research, development and engineering put into finding a vaccine and meds that help keep people alive while they fight if off.
In order to stay healthy you also need to avoid getting a mental illness from the whole ordeal, so just let it be.
Easier said than done, though - especially when nobody around you is taking the proper precautions. My parents say they're taking it seriously but they've been to the beach three times this summer, and my partner is doing the best they can as a teacher but you can only do so much in that situation.
It's really easy to judge people. Most people who are trying are doing enough, and even people who've cheated and gone to the beach 3 times in a summer probably have significantly reduced their interactions with others.
There was a wedding in Maine recently where 50 people got Covid. Those are the ones you should worry about. Rich, stupid or both.
There is a very low chance of getting covid from being outdoors while socially distancing.
Also, even if you get it like tgat the viral load will be very low.
What the fuck are you talking about. Stop spreading blatant misinformation. "The viral load will be very low" what the fuck are you even saying. It only takes a few cells to start replicating to give you COVID, viral load only matters once it has been fought off and you are in recovery. Good God you're an idiot
You seem very stupid, stop spreading your idiot opinions like they're fact
Ita gonna run its course,
Goodnight humanity
let it be
I've heard this Beatles song, I love the one about how we don't need a revolution because "everything will be alright"
