It's not that unsound, a large part of reporting is informed by "experts" with very biased expertise and then that information is presented as neutral/objective. It's a running theme of Citations Needed, the official podcast of Hexbear.
You've gotta have a better argument than "sure but no".
A "policy expert" works for an organization that's headed by a bunch of US intelligence people. What's unsound about that link?
