So utopia has recently been "remade" and I decided to rewatch it for the first time and I still really like it, I love how its shot extremely wide , the vibrant colours and the amazing soundtrack. Also it's funny watching it now in the middle of pandemic with the villains assuming people would just vaccinate themselves against potentially deadly virus.

    spoiler for the UK show

    When you literally make the most politically aware character in the show switch sides and agree with the villains its gonna make a lot of people just instinctively go "oh yeah I guess they have a point" unless they watch media with a critical mind and political understanding.

      I kind of got a vibe the show tried to make the eugenics seem like only reasonable solution. I'm currently starting to rewatch the second season with a lib friend of mine and he is agreeing with the network (tbh he probably agreed with eugenics even before :/ ) and it gets me so fucking mad.
