All the fascist types into the hobby get kicked out or never actually start doing more than buying stuff and dreaming about using it because you can't be an asshole and be involved. It's dangerous if you are fighting someone who is actually trying to hurt you. It's also difficult and you can't buy skill or get good quickly.
Yeah, and besides they're probably the kind of people who combine vikings, romans, greeks, and celts into some kind of pan-european mysticism rather than the type of people who would spend years trying to recreate the fighting style of 13th century mamluk cavalry from 1st hand sources.
I would be cautious in assuming that reactionaries can't do things that require skill and patience though. They're definitely involved in a lot of modern martial arts.
Fascists can do things that require skill and patience, but not when doing so involves interacting with people that will kick them out for being an asshole. They can't avoid being an asshole for long enough to get good, unless they find a community that will tolerate them.
