It's genuinely shocking to me just how much rot there was in litterally every western country, and somehow they just continued to lumber on, right until they collided with COVID. Like, I live in Denmark, one of the "good" countries, that other countries sometimes tries to emulate and that people generally want to migrate to, but fuck me COVID is wrecking us now. And people have just completely given up, while our SocDem government spends all their time responding to different businesses who claim they are being oppressed by Female Stalin the Traitor-Witch (our reactionaries aren't particularly creative with their nicknames).
