Totally cool and good folks
remember when the empire bombed a site in sudan in the 90s saying it was a chemical weapons plant, but it turned out to be a pharmaceutical plant that was the chief supplier of medicine for the country? And how they never apologized or paid reparations?
Lol wat? Are we now openly blackmailing poor countries in the global south with our imaginary lists? Is this a growth industry? Is this how the empire will make next quarter?
"Hey, I have a list here, would be a real shame if your country was to appear on it for unknown reasons. But I could maybe help you out? make it go away for only a small service fee, let's say $350 mil. I know, I know, what are such small sums of money between friends. Mike always says I'm being too generous."
But if they did that they would be providing material support to terrorism
if they get enough brainworms from silicon valley maybe they will make it a subscription modell
We're calling it Diplomacy+
Letting your subscription lapse means the US gets to invade your country.
I mean I'd sorta ask how this is even remotely fair given that the current government of Sudan is not the administration that provided support to Al Qaeda (assuming that's even true in the first place and not just the US regime lying through its teeth as per usual) but honestly even a cursory glance at US foreign policy makes it very clear that the country operates on broadly similar principles to an organised crime network.
The US has been running protection rackets across the globe since forever.
I'm also fully expecting that should Biden win, this shit will still continue but will be quietly ignored by outlets like The Guardian etc.
Y'all the bush admin did this same shit to bribe/coerce countries into supporting the Iraq war. Blowback pod has whole bit about this in an episode lemme see if I can find it.
