I know, I know, reddit sucks, but I missed this community because it's the only community on reddit that's so Trans positive, aside from actual Trans subreddits. Any time Chapo is mentioned on reddit is to shit on it. Was this a meme I missed before the ban where we all just say it sucked?
Weird thing is they were all kind of right? One of the reasons I liked the sub because it brought together a whole bunch of different left-wing subcultures.
Chapo had some critiques of idpol without getting reactionary, to some people we'd probably look like stupidpol in the same way CHUDs think that centrist Dems are communists.
Yeah, I only ever got criticism of idpol as liberal sleight of hand. The "Black voices matter" while increasing police funding. Or the focus on representation rather than justice and equality.
I guess attacking that to some libs is just awful because it really is the depths of their ideology. They don't care about systemic changes needed for actual justice, just having more black women on their TV shows.
Stupidpol just says racism isn't real, which is a baby brained take.
Just a bunch of fucking libs posting John Brown memes, imo
The big thing I miss about the reddit sub was that it was so much more active. Tons of good conversations on all kinds of topics, but the sub definitely became popular because it was largely just a place to bully people from other parts of the site through tagging them in.
I didn't find out about this place until yesterday. Give it time and let your friends know to let this website get some of the older userbase back, and we will hopefully reach that level of popularity again.
there's been a general purge of activists it feels like. the site has drifted to the right, even in like trans spaces.
The home page just isn't the same without crab emojis and trainposting. :(
yea, I'm not even really there for trans stuff any more. shit's hitting the fan all over the place and I just can't do memes that don't even acknowledge the basic fact.
This is definitely true. The left has essentially completely left the site. Although I like how there's a left wing and right wing city sub where I live.
I didn't give a shit about The Last of Us 2 one way or another, but they ran that into the ground after about three days.
the libs hate us because we're "problematic" apparently
the chuds hate us because we're commie scum
the lefty subs hate us because we are all anarkiddies/redfash/libs/trots/bernie stansalso WE ARE ALL RUSSIAN BOTS for the libs because we do not love obama
Radlib redditors can’t wrap their brains around how the same anti-imperialist and anti-racist things they supposedly espouse is exactly why we would oppose CIA-propagated shit about China and the USSR. It’s wild how they can argue against Eurocentric and colonialism and then argue that HK is a victim of Chinese not British imperialism
everyone who had knowledge of the chapo sub but never posted on it insists this is a white cis het neckbeard area and im just confused as to why (prob some dumb horseshoe theory shit)
It's like when libs think people who post on /r/shitliberalssay are chuds
For real! You'd think the other leftie subs would be supportive but I've only seen negative reactions since the ban.
never really engaged in other leftie subs in my experience, it was more socdems/demsocs on other forums that had a political thread orsomething. our reputation sucks! but then again, its prob just civility libs.
I never really participate on reddit because I always end up in an argument with someone, I just really enjoyed this subs posts so I'm glad I found this place.
Every time chapo is mentioned on reddit it should be turned into an ad for the site by former CTH users in the replies. If chapos aren't using it to mention the site there's a failure in growth happening.
I usually don't leave a comment but if I see anyone with fond memories or a suspiciously high number of upvotes then I PM them
I also set up my Masstagger to pick up CTH and CTH2 posters with a lot of karma and for some weird reason it still triggers on CTH2 posters so I always PM them
There’s also no way afaik of searching by comment, only thread, so it’s fairly limited.

You probably wanna use terms: "chapo" "r/chapo" "CTH" "r/CTH" "chapotraphouse" "r/chapotraphouse"
I originally found Chapo because people wouldn't stop mentioning it like "well if right wing subs get banned they have to ban Chapo too"
our reputation on reddit was always bad because on olden times before getting quarantined we used to be a mix of a honey pot for dumb people to come and get owned by the /new gang and ocassional brigading also american politics is what guides reddit so the colective hatred of libs and chuds to any real left has always been real strong on the site
🎶I can feel my heart beat fast, I want this to last 🎶
The main cub getting banned did really suck but the MoreTankie sub is what got me more off reddit.
