All the stuff about the Viet Cong is just like... did you morons forget about the PAVN? You know, the ACTUAL ARMY the US was fighting, the one with tanks, and artillery, and planes? This wasn't a fucking counter-insurgency conflict (or at least, not entirely).
I've seen neocons cope before by saying the US actually won the counterinsurgency in Vietnam but lost the conventional war, therefore the US should stay in Afghanistan since the Taliban is only fighting insurgency there's no way it'll end like Vietnam :picard-troll:
