Did you know that abusers engage in love bombing? Love bombing is when you meet someone on Tinder but then they don't like you, so they go date someone else.

Contrary to popular belief it's not abuse when someone confides in you that their privacy has been violated, so you screenshot that exact message and post it to your large TikTok audience, triggering a worldwide harassment and doxxing campaign over someones lack of sexual morality, and worst of all, not continuing to date YOU

Really cool to get Quaker Oats or something to call your date a fucking slut

That was my reaction the first 9 times this shit showed up in my feed.

There's literally a worldwide doxxing campaign started by a bunch of New York yuppies who got mad a guy didn't date them exclusively. The guy lost his job and his personal details are all over the internet. Just millions of psychos calling some guy a filthy whore

femcels are like the strangest phenomenon to me but at the same time they prove that men and women aren't really all that different

Whenever I try to distill this problem I always come back to western enforcement of standards of beauty combined with gender related economic power dynamics.

There are (at least) three overlapping systemic forces at play here.

well what I think is strange is that the "incel" movement has existed basically since the early internet as far as I can tell, I do not recall the femcel thing taking off until somewhat recently

the closest thing I can think of from a while ago is the all female imageboard crystalcafe which is/was filled with TERF protofemcels

the term incel was coined by a woman. Its meaning has evolved a lot since then and the term "femcel" is very problematic.

        the subreddit r/femaledatingstrstegy

        :visible-disgust:

Absolutely incredible expression of western """culture""" that these people saw incels committing mass shootings and thought "yeah, that's the kind of energy we need on our side!"

whatevercels, dating strategy/game communities, alla that shit is a counterproductive reaction to the fundamentally broken state of romance and relationships in neoliberal capitalism. their contempt-which-is-desire for the people they supposedly want to court is ugly and stupid, but it's hard to find something better for them.

I admittedly am not familiar with the subreddit but isn't there a pretty crucial difference between an oppressor group (in this case, men) doing something to an oppressed group (in this case, women) and the oppressed group doing something to the oppressor group? I feel like overlooking that difference is how you get shit like Vaush comparing decolonization movements with Nazi blood and soil nationalism.

just as bad as the kkk

Bad but surely not that bad

            literally just incels

Unless they call each other unlovable and ugly to further entrench everyone, egg each other on to commit violence, and deify mass shooters, then it's another case of still bad but not that bad

TBF there are people who think it was cool and based to try and assassinate Andy Warhol and tried to treat it as like an actual feminist statement, so you never know what people will support because of simplistic "oppressor/oppressed" dynamic analysis.

Im sorry but assassinating fellow queer artists is not praxis, weirdo.

Go shoot a cop or something instead if you have to.

I'm defending the idea that you shouldn't just fucking shoot random artists for being reactionary in your mind, jesus christ what the fuck is wrong with you.

Edit: Also Solanas was unambigously a fucking terf, I can't believe there's people out here supporting terfs who go around shooting people who are associated with trans women.

              "Elimination of the male sex"

Several rabid terfs cited as being directly influenced by the manifesto

              :yikes-1::yikes-2::yikes-3:

              Edit:

              extremely transphobic quote

"When the male accepts his passivity, defines himself as a woman (males as well as females thing men are women and women are men), and becomes a transvestite he loses his desire to screw (or to do anything else, for that matter; he fulfills himself as a drag queen) and gets his dick chopped off. He then achieves a continuous diffuse sexual feeling from `being a woman'. "

You can go fuck yourself forever for sharing this kind of fucking shit.

As Bunhead said, I feel like how reactionary vs liberatory they are is the key factor here. Oppressor vs oppressed dynamics can't be ignored but sometimes people really are just getting angry and hating people in a purely reactionary sense with no greater sense of wanting society to improve.

Nah FDS are members of the oppressor group in the sense that they're a bunch of miserable middle class - upper middle class (PMC) who have created a small echo-chamber to reinforce the cucked antihuman thinking endemic to toxic masculinity and capitalist meritocracy. They never "punch up" and rag on men with large salaries for abusing their power, its all just "hurr durr look at this 4/10 low value male who wants to date me lul he cant even buy me a ferrari bcuz he's min wage worker trash"

The FDS community is a reaction to the toxic abusive behavior perpetuated by a lot of straight men in society, which is a real problem and thus they aren't as bad to redpillers or incels who think it's unjust that women won't sleep with them. There is legit and helpful advice to be found there, however the community is also an overreaction and thus half of it is just buckwild. Like there are posts about men who have committed heinous shit mixed in equal measure to posts about how said behavior is caused by bad genes and DNA, and that women need to practice "good breeding." They are also radfems, and like many radfems for some reason, are TERFS; before it was banned the subreddit GenderCritical had a massive overlap with FDS. There's also a lot of classism, since their definition of high value "males" and women is tied up with wealth, and ableism since they advise against dating people with any mental health issues and throw are the r-word. It's basically doubling down on patriarchal gender norms (men must be the primary providers and gift givers because those are masculine traits) to own the patriarchy.
