      It's a major pet peeve of mine when finance press writes like money just disappeared. There's so much wrong with this understanding of money that it's hard to know where to start. All the stuff that existed before the crash still exists. The only thing that changed was speculative market cap on an asset.

      Also https://cryptoheat.io/ click on the 3 month thing at the bottom. The entire crypto market has been in freefall for months.

        Yea I distinctly remember learning about the wall street crash in 1929 as part of 9th grade great depression curriculum, and raising my hand and genuinely saying: "I don't understand, where did all the money go?"

        Little 'ol me thinking any of this was real back then.

        What they’re really lamenting is suddenly finding out how wrong they were about the value represented there. Suddenly, of course, being the way that most people find out they’re wrong. But then again I’ve never been $1 trillion wrong
