How are we still doing this fear mongering? Russia never seemed particularly interested in a broader war, and given how the Ukraine war went down probably wouldn't want a war with NATO countries. Even with resourcing issues in NATO it would be a pyrrhic victory at best.
I'd say proxy wars with Russia are likely, but those never stopped, Russia had maintained a sphere of influence and indirectly fought western backed forces throughout 90s and 00s, so pretending that is some new threat is just dumb. Also, UK citizen armies isn't what would fight those anyway
Because it is a distraction from domestic issues. They will screech louder and louder about Russia invading ANY DAY NOW! in order to make sure anyone who notices how shit everything is getting is drowned out in a sea of hysteria and racism.
