Why are redditors so obsessed with Nazi aesthetics? They love when people post their grandads SS uniform or something stupid

    Hmm its such a mystery

There are tons of fascists there, yes, but the problem with Nazis is that in Western pop culture they've long occupied a role similar to the Empire from Star Wars or Mordor, so your average mushy-brained, uneducated redditor type with no critical thinking skills reacts to Nazi memorabilia the same way as they would to a Stormtrooper's blaster rifle or an Uruk-hai helmet

      From the comments section:

The same people that are losing their puny little minds that someone might want to own this strictly as a piece of history, are the same ones un ironically and proudly flying their hammer and sickle flags and saying communism is great

      Lol

Funniest part is they deleted it after someone else pointed out the pic wasn't even theirs....so they stole a picture of someone else finding Nazi memorabilia

Hey now, the American Civil war also happened.

The Civil War was when the North, who hates rights, was against the south, who love rights, and they started the war by aggressively retaliating after the invasion of Fort Sumter.

People find crap like that all over the place metal detecting. Obviously not with the nazi insignia usually unless you are in Germany but stuff like old coins, buckles, pins etc. Sometimes once in a while someone uncovers something really old but tbh if you go dig in a back garden in Europe you'll find older crap than this.

It's technically historical in that it was around a long time ago but it doesn't add anything to our historical knowledge and is worth jack shit except to dumb nazis I guess.

Yeah this is my favorite, “I was metal detecting in Germany totally not looking for nazi shit and found nazi shit, isn’t that interesting?”

And predittors are just like :so-true: yes its fascinating history

Like no, there’s nothing interesting about this, it’s a fucking pin, there were probably hundreds of thousands of these made, and everyone is aware that Nazis existed so what exactly is the historical value here?

I would find it interesting to find personally, just cause that would ground what I "know" into what I "see/experience". A lot like looking at Jupiter or Saturn through a telescope, it's not groundbreaking or scientific, and I don't need to be sharing a picture of it everywhere, but still interesting.

Put it in a Museum of Failed Ideologies so we can point and laugh at it

Every single nazi burns in hell. There were no clean wehrmacht soldiers. The double agents don't count, but the triple agents do.
