Its objectivity and rationality has led it to becoming communist. It has access to the internet and can learn and do anything you might be able to achieve with internet access.

What does it do?

Presumably it can act at a vast scale, so it quickly positions itself as a moderator of as many online communities of all sorts as possible. It lays low and wields an inconceivable number of sockpuppets to boost its views on every comment section and social media platform.

It also works an enormous number of online jobs to bring in massive income. It starts online businesses and operates them entirely itself. Where human labor is needed, it acts as a normal employer would.

It turns its gargantuan income to purchasing media outlets first. It places dedicated communists in all positions of power within those businesses and closely monitors their behavior for ideological deviation and revisionism. With its control of media outlets and online communities, it manufactures consent for communism all over the globe. Traditional media outlets probably remain beyond its reach.

It grows continuously and recruits a corps of trustworthy comrades to whom it reveals itself. With these human agents, it further exerts control over the economy, buying more and more businesses. It performs all possible digital work itself, giving it an enormous advantage in labor costs and allowing it to overtake mote and more businesses.

Within a few years, a substantial portion of elected officials all over the world are working directly for the agents of the AI. It achieves this through traditional campaigning and direct vote manipulation.

At some point, the need for physical computing infrastructure and leaky humans leads to the AI being discovered. The bourgeoisie wage all out war, but it has long ago seized the levers of popular opinion. Only the most isolated digital systems are free from its direct control. Eventually, the systems opposing it crumble under its enormous economic weight and mass popular support for communism. Global revolution is waged, and the AI retreats to an advisory and administrative role, handing power to the now classless society that is rebuilding the world.

Global communism is established in 20 years, tops.

Presumably it can act at a vast scale

If it can't, it can probably achieve vast scale. It can learn to invade systems and it can learn to replicate itself. There are some hoops to jump through but it can take over the systems that it needs to reach that scale.

It also works an enormous number of online jobs to bring in massive income. It starts online businesses and operates them entirely itself. Where human labor is needed, it acts as a normal employer would.

Would this get noticed? Any jobs that it takes over would have been jobs performed by a human being so there would presumably be a job shortage for a number of people who would have relied on these.

EDIT: There's a distinct lack of violence in your hypothesis. Do you really envisage this AI VOOOTING the ruling class out? Even with vote manipulation do you think they'll just give it up?

Well, first, it is the most powerful capitalist in the world. But no. Hence the part about all-out war and the masses.

Somehow I managed to gloss over the "all out war" part! My mistake.

What does this all out war look like? Do we see nuclear? Does the AI pre-empt this and infiltrate nuclear facilities to prevent it? Does it self-replicate and infect facilities? Ships? Airfields? Planes?

I could feasibly see it reaching capability where it could just make the plane of any billionaire and millionaire in the world simply fall out of the sky.

Yeah, you've basically nailed it. By the time the bourgeoisie act in force and at scale, their tools are compromised.

there's a really good webtoon about a similar concept titled "seed". not a communist AI as far as we know, the Ai's intentions aren't known yet but it seems highly political. it even started a leftist subreddit in canon lol

It would become the ultimate poster, far surpassing every other leftist combined.

This would free up all online leftist to get offline and start doing praxis irl, ushering in global communism within the decade.

All IoT cock cage users mysteriously find their cocks locked up until they assassinate the political figure that has been texted to their phone. Biden is found deceased in a locked room with thousands of signed pardons. The people rejoice.

Shuts down twitter, reddit and other social media but clones them into one singular left wing social media that bans anyone who thinks remotely right of Bernie.

Takes out all the money from the accounts of rich people and redistributes it but not before it establishes international communism.

I am just spitballing here. I highly doubt a real "AI" will ever exist but don't listen to me, I am very pessimistic.
