I guess that makes sense if you look at it from the perspective of them wanting an invisible way to off people that is harder to detect than the radiation poisoning or whatever.
Would it really be so hard for the Russians to collect his DNA if they wanted to? This looks more like some infantile power play than a legitimate security concern.
