To add: police are getting some excellent funding during this ordeal... And by covering this extensively, corporate media can continue appearing like the adult in the room all while giving favourable press to provincial governments that are rapidly stripping down covid restrictions (despite covid, in some cases, being as widespread as it's ever been).
No doubt the normalization of police overreach during these protests will be utilized for any future left protests also.
