"Well, deficit reduction by raising taxes is off the table, so we will find some other way to reduce the deficit"

They're responding to skyrocketing prices of food , gas and medicine with brutal austerity,... and they're trying to pretend the deficit matters again after letting the FED print 16 trillion over the past two years to juice the stock market and buy up assets from banks.

Holy shit, I'm going to see a US civil war in my lifetime.

Even in the best case scenario for their plans (where Fed rate hikes and austerity decrease inflation), workers still end up with lower employment and with real wages below the 2019 average. With these assholes in charge, there is no win scenario even on the table.

And I don't think that this will even work as planned, inflation will probably still be above average even if we intentionally decrease our own GDP. Only used car prices might calm down.

I feel like the civil war will be coming sooner than people think and it will kind of resemble the Indian wars, except with right-wing groups that engage in guerilla warfare

It could be but it would definitely be a surprise. I feel like it's going to be longer before that happens. A lot of people in the developed world seem fine with how things are. If anything, crimes are definitely going to go up but no real organized violence just yet. At least not any that will be effective enough to be classified as war.

I mean, we really ought to. It would be worse if nothing happens. :inshallah:
