I feel like not enough people have given feta a try. Maybe because it's usually a premium topping and you have to pay a little extra for it, or maybe because it just looks gross. I usually only get it when I'm stealing food from work. But damn does grilled chicken, feta, tomato, and onion make a tasty pie.

Onions never seem to get as much love as they deserve. They fry up in the pizza grease and get sweet, they pair really well with any sort of meat topping like pepperoni or sausage.

I feel like it just needs something acidic to make it over the top.

Garlic chiptole relish? Or would that be too much?

It was a few years ago and my wife and I had grown so many more jalapenos than we could do anything with so we were just giving 10's of pounds to a regular customer who's dad is retired and smokes food stuff. As "payment" we got a few jars of chipotle powder and that garlic relish stuff. Been kinda hooked since.

I have never heard of this... I'm gonna have to add it to my list of things to try.

It’s not a combination, but I want to mention that artichoke hearts (the kind you get in a jar or can) are a fantastic underrated pizza topping

    Egg, if you're non-vegan.

If vegan, just go basically shrek mode. Garlic in Oil, Onions, Capers, Olives. Add shitton of rocket after baking, drizzle with balsamico vinegar.

My favorite uncommon topping is fried eggplant. Goes well on a veggie pizza that's already maxed out on toppings.

In my neck of the woods there are nearly as many pizzerias as there are Dunkin Donuts, so there's an arms race for which place makes the best specialty pies.

    S-tier:

Taco pizza where the only thing you see from above is a bed of shredded lettuce

    Baked Ziti

    Chicken Bacon Ranch

    Chicken Parm

Cheesesteak pizza where the pizza is over an inch thick entombed under an additional top layer of bread

    Honorable mentions:

    Mashed potato and bacon

    Macaroni and cheese

    BBQ chicken

As far as normal toppings go, sausage and green peppers is pretty solid.
