Dude at work is doing a DnD campaign and was asking me about Midieval peace treaties cause he wanted to have two kingdoms with an uneasy peace. All the questions I asked were historically or materially based like say, what the kingdoms are actually fighting over. It turns out it was cause there was an evil king and now the evil king is ded. I was asking what their primary cereal crops were, population density, industrial centres or the equivalent and stuff. We operate on very different storytelling levels. Usually why I just set games in real life history and mainly play call of Cthulhu.
