Biden getting annihilated among independents. It is interesting to think what team Biden will do if Dems get annihilated in the midterms. "Surely, we weren't right-wing enough"
JUST IN: A career-low 37% of Americans approve of Pres. Biden’s job performance, with 55% disapproving.
That includes just 30% approval among political independents and 10% from Republicans
They think that doing that stuff is what lost them the election, while they actually have no plans or intentions to do it. It is this weird circle, where they don't even talk about doing left-wing stuff, but then they blame "doing too much left-wing stuff" for their loss, while their only achievement is passing an infrastructure bill that gives out more fossil fuel subsidies and privatizes parts of the infrastructure.
Yeah, I'm familiar with the Blue MAGA brainworms. I'm just thinking, in their position, they could possibly weigh that student debt or weed would be the most popular choices to win them goodwill and make the fewest enemies on the right. Unlike action on COVID, police, labor, education, etc. that everyone to the right of Bernie would hate.
But the assumption there is that they want to win, and I don't think they actually do.
No, they will go the other way. Not just letting the expanded child credit die and throwing ~10 million people off unemployment, but they will do some tax cuts for the rich or cut Social Security or something.
And then blame the voters for not showing up.
