For the purposes of this post "Straight Edge" means no alcohol, tobacco or recreational drugs. Some definitions take it farther than that, but I just mean the basic one.

But yeah, I'm in my late 20s and have never really seriously partaken myself due to lack of interest. The only times I can recall are accidentally taking a drink of someone's Bloody Mary when I was a kid (Which I still remember was spicy as fuck decades later btw), and getting some 2nd-hand pot smoke at a friend's house once.

If you do, I don't judge, just try to be careful/not overindulge is all I'd say.

Not into sex, not into drugs, not into alcohol, don't swear (much), yeah I'm like the stereotypical "pure conservative Christian girl" in that way except lol no way I would be either of those

yeah pretty much by default. Which is a weird coincidence because my family were hardcore into religious teetotalism back in the day and I've sort of stumbled into it

side note why is it called straight edge now I'm more used to the term teetotal as my grandma used it

I don't really do "anything". Never drugs or alcohol. I used to drink caffeine but not for many years now. I am in my early 30's.

Always by choice though. I always saw substances as either a temporary yet damaging thing, or just trying to escape reality. Pizza, videogames, movies, hanging out with friends were always enough fun for me. I never felt the desire to lift my brain to a new plane of existence with drugs.

That said... life sucks. It's basically made me a loner and a hermit because most people indulge in at least something as a part of socialization.

I don't like being drunk, I drink somewhat regularly but basically never get actually intoxicated. 1 beer here, half a shot of whiskey there. Being even moderately drunk just makes me sleepy and hurts my stomach., then gives me a headache if I don't force down a lot of water. And even then I get a light headache later.

Weed is pretty cool I guess but when I have purposely smoked a bunch, I'm just kind of sitting there vaguely frustrated that I am absent minded, and unable to articulate anything. I have no desire to actually smoke it. A few hits is kinda nice, I guess, but not that interesting to me.

I also had to take opioids for extremely severe tooth pain, it was amazing how much they numbed the pain but it gave me no desire to take more other than when the tooth would start hurting more.
