The activity of Stepan Bandera as a historical figure is considered positive by 32% of respondents, the same number of respondents consider his activity negative. Another 21% think that is was both positive and negative.

46% of Ukrainians have a positive attitude towards the decision of the Ukrainian authorities to recognize soldiers of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) as fighters for the independence of Ukraine. 29% are against it, 9% of respondents do not care, and another 16% were undecided.

Imo "denazification" isn't a good reason to invade because it's just going to drive people towards the nationalists, but it's hard to deny the numbers. A lot of Ukrainians are sympathetic to their history of Nazi collaboration under the guise of nationalism and have adopted right wing revisionism on the war that scarred their country. Inevitably these fascists will form the vanguard of Ukrainian resistance to whatever terms Russia might impose on Ukraine and they will be the ones armed and trained by America. A large segment of the Ukrainian population will follow them.
