I am a Carly Rae Jepsen stan and Rina Sawayama also rules
Dua Lipa's last album is still my favorite album to come out this year.
This is because Disco is the best pop genre and leaving it to the past was a mistake.
Charli xcx and all the hyper pop people. My gf listens to a lot of Taylor swift and her last two albums has some bangers. Joji is great.
i like the pc music ppl a lot as well. heres this cool lofi pop band some of you might enjoy too

Charli XCX and 100 gecs mainly. Side note: my city had a great indie pop scene in the last half of the past decade and I cant wait to go back to local shows. Denver, Playa Gotica, Vectores
lol i know people love pearl clutching about Cardi B but like how can they deny how charismatic she is
I obsessively listen to Kim Petras, especially her halloween album! I also love Janelle Monaé, Tove Lo, and King Princess.
fucking love Kim Petras, that Halloween album is incredible. Also a fan of all the others!
Taylor Swift is an absolute favorite. Honestly one of the most impressive songwriters of the modern era. I love queer media analysis though and her discography is one of the most interesting subjects there. (To paraphrase a tweet: taylor swift's entire existence as a closeted lesbian is so goddamn cinematic like once you realize tswift is GAY all your chakras align and you truly realize how deep industry closeting and homophobia go.)
Otherwise, really into King Princess and The Aces rn, Hayley Kiyoko is pretty good, I like a good CRJ bop every now and again.
I saw Carly Rae Jepsen do a live acoustic set a few years ago and it was dope
Rain on Me has some dope vocal synths uses as bass.
Elastic Heart has a drumline made out of vocal chops, and that's my shit.
Break my Heart is the Disco / Electro Funk Revival Bruno Mars wishes he could make.
Sorry honest to god sounds like the good parts of a Skrillex song and nothing else.
Picture perfect only charted in England but is good anyways.
Bruno Mars 24K magic is my #1 pop album of all time. Charlie Puth's Voicenotes album is also excellent right up until the last 4 tracks, which blow dead bears
oh yeah, the bass lines in Billie’s songs are great.
Carly Rae and, funnily enough, Ariana Grande were my gateways to popheadism
