there's so many layers here. like one of the more disturbing things liberals say is that "own people" thing, like they say Stalin killed his "own people" as if that's somehow a greater tragedy than killing someone outside of your ethnicity and language group

That tweet on the left is also completely incorrect, because German speaking Germans were targets of the holocaust, because many of them were also Jewish, leftists, gay, disabled, or etc

Also when they mention Stalin killed his own people, I don't know what they're saying because Stalin was a Georgian, an ethnic and linguistic minority in the USSR

Also I'm not sure of the context, but if the left tweet is claiming that Ukrainians and Russians are the same people then it's taking Putin's side, because that's the chauvinistic Russian nationalist position
