And I think you underestimate exactly how many Houstonians gloom on to his vaguely Christian themed self-help ministries. According to police, the shooter was AFAB, she was the biological mother of the child killed by pigs, and spent her entire life using she/her pronouns. She did use a male name in court a few years prior, but was still referred to using she/her

I was talking with a trans comrade on this today and they are upset, rightfully so. But it's nice to see China at least doing actual reporting.
I think that was wrong, or at least the reporting on this is muddled. My understanding now is that this person was assigned female at birth and never actually transitioned - the male name was because they used a fake guy's name in some theft or something in the past. Also, she didn't have "free palestine" on her gun, but just "palestine". Also seems like they were notorious in their neighborhood for making wild threats and brandishing guns for years and the local cops didn't ever do anything about it.
