The funniest thing about japanese fascists is that they think they can get their empire back even though they are an island nation that requires trade just to feed themselves let alone host a war effort

They're actually still so ultra nationalist that they take great pride, to the point of actually kicking themselves in their own pocketboot, in producing nearly all of their foods and shit domestically with superior Japanese products. Like an example is that damn near all of their fucking potato chips are made out of some Japanese strain of potato that's only grown in Japan and they actually had a potato shortage crisis because of a shit harvest last year. Also all their food prices are all on the more expensive side, on their average wage earnings, since they tend to only sell domestic products.

Is it self-reliance for the sake of building a more sustainable society, or self-reliance out of a sense of ethno-supremacism?

I mean yeah their intentions are bad but they're accidentally correct about this

The fun part is when we take over and we can use all their data to do the farming even better. Thanks for the homework, fascists, now off to the pit with you.

This has little to do with Japanese fascism and more to do with how the LDP has partitioned voting districts to keep cities unimportant and hand out farming subsidies.

            That's why they do it.

Also, it's hard to overstate the degree of political nihilism many Japenese (especially young people) feel. Even if they know about the unfair distribution, few people think anything can be done about it.

I think there is something to be said about preserving local varietals of foods and produce in the face of the homogenizing effects of global trade.

Fuck those tiny potatoes though. Fuck peeling them. Fuck washing them.

The racist stereotype among old Japanese guys is that Americans "smell like butter". Love to see fascist infighting.

And that looks like 2chan, which is home to legitimately frightening fascist gamer otaku who stalk idol groups and voice actresses. It's actually kinda interesting how 4chan dorks became the exact mirror image of them despite limited contact

I wanna be a nerd for a second because I rarely get to reference this, but that there is a great historical example of Marshall McLuhan's materialist principle that the medium is the message. Ways of consuming media are dictated by the medium it comes through and dictates the way you interact with it, producing consistent social results regardless of content. It's honestly one of the greatest modern principles in communications theory.
