Extremely funny one of the higher comments is like "👉👈 uhhh so reddit what is your take on these Azov guys they're erhmm-- they're doing sieg heils and have nazi symbolism" lmfaoo like you really need reddit to fucking tell you what to think? This is why that hivemind shit is so goddamn bad, these people recognize these aren't good people but are looking for reasons to support them. It's not hard to condem nazis without asking fuckin reddit what to think jfc

What gets me is that all the libs are breaking themselves in half trying to say that the Nazis aren't a big problem and don't reflect on the government and military of Ukraine and it's like okay, fine, there's only 2500 Azov guys. Line them up and shoot them, Ukraine. It's only 2500 guys. 2500 rounds costs like 500 dollars. Easy solution. Now you have my total, uncritical, unreserved support in your efforts to stop Russian imperialist aggression. (I mean not really because NATO but still their case would be a lot stronger if they didn't have actual fucking Nazis directly incorporated into their military, openly, in an official capacity. )

Lol I feel you. The thing is too, even assuming as a hypothetical Ukraine was just soooo desperate for able bodied soliders they decided to work with Azov and "look the other way" as a means to end with Russia... but when exactly were they planning on putting the kibosh on actively arming, training and giving nazis positions of power? From everything I can tell, there is no plans to address it. if anything Ukraine prefers the zealtory nazism can bring it seems cause they promote Azov quite a bit.

I'd really like liberals to just be honest about being okay with arming nazis. No other whataboutism or anything, doesn't matter how much they personally hate Russia or whatever. Just accept they're quite okay actually with supporting nazis. It's like pulling teeth even getting many to acknowledge their existence. Pretty big tell to me

It'd be interesting to see the timeline where Ukraine did actually win the war against Russia, but now they got a bunch of armed to the teeth neonazis who decide to overthrow the government.

Would the Liberals just straight up deny it or what would even happen?

absolutely. the same way they deny obama admin's deportations, drone strikes, and destruction of libya and yemen

i've run into motherfuckers who will tell me photos of azov from 2014 are "russian propaganda"

What's going to happen is that whoever "wins" Eastern Europe is going to be flooded with unregistered guns, high explosives, anti-tank missile launchers, man portable anti-air systems. Right wing terrorism is going to be a boom industry.

It is psychologically painful to be the only person in the room that sees reality a certain way. Don't underestimate this effect.

This is why I just lie to myself and say that everyone actually agrees with me and continue to discuss things as if my position is the same one that they hold until they fall prey to this psychology too.

It's how the right recruits alienated people, it's also a good tactic for breaking programming because once you can get them vulnerable, you're able to actually get them to start seeing things more clearly.

Nah I understand it. They're admitting ignorance so as to not come off as instigating but they don't want to ignore the fashposting so they're looking for a recap of that discourse

I follow you, you're a bit more generous than I am about this. I suppose if they really are an ignorant redditor asking what the hell is going on that fair

I mean for us Fascists vs. Socialists is the driving dynamic behind the entirety of human history from 1917 to the present. For Libs their experience Nazis comes from 3 hours of instruction in 8th grade and maybe they saw that old Tarantino movie from over a decade ago. They saw some people calling Trump a Nazi but they don't really know what it means, it doesn't have any visceral weight to it. They've never seen a Sonnenrad, they have no idea what a Wolfsangel is, They think runic tattoos look cool because there are a bunch of TV shows about Vikings. They know the SS runes are bad but they mostly think it's tacky racism, not a direct death threat. They have no fucking idea that Nazism and Fascism survived the war and has been a powerful ideological force throughout the entire Cold War and post-Cold War period
