do people actually listen to U2? Literally the only reason I know about them is because Apple installed their music on my phone like a decade ago
Gen X band, did a bunch of "activism" like live aid and iirc were responsible for popularizing the whole free Tibet thing. Probably have fed connections.
Also anti-republicanism in Ireland, connected to Bill Gates and Davos, etc. Very sus
Yeah I think Lennon, David Byrne, and Bono all were part of an op to steer pop culture away from radicalism during/after the 70s.
I've been listening to them since around 1980. I still love their early stuff. Bono is a pretentious putz but I think the Edge and the drummer (Larry Mullen Jr.) are great.
it coud be good. what if they make a contract with a small supernatural animal and become magical boys
The only explanation for Walk Hard not being another Blazing Saddles is that it is in fact the end of history. The end of Anglo history.
I'll paraphrase a tweet I read yesterday...
Bono isn't a man. He's a shell corporation organized in the Caymans.
Looking forward to Abrams making this into a Mystery Box show like Lost, but somehow based on real events. Or turning it into a generic action movie that shits all over the franchise like Star Trek/Wars.
